Best music festival ever in Australia!?

With different people comes different taste into music. So what do you think the best music festival in Australia is!? There are so many like... 'Stereosonic, Splendour in the Grass, Defqon and many more.' My personal favourite is Defqon which involves multiple genres of music, mainly 'Hardstyle.' Defqon brings many people across the world together and dance to music over 150bpm, where the music itself is so dynamic and vibrant. Who agrees with me!? :)

Taylor Swift wins Taylor Swift award

On Tuesday, Taylor attended the BMI (  Broadcast Music, Inc Pop Awards in Beverly Hills, where she received the first-ever Taylor Swift award for her creative and artistic talent and influence. Her influence has been major, in total Taylor has won 270 awards and been nominated for 565. So when the BMI Pop Awards decided to name an award the Taylor Swift Award, it was kind of obvious that they were going to give the award to Taylor Swift. So really, Taylor won and award for winning awards?  Taylor got an awesome standing ovation when she was presented with her self-named award. “This is just an unbelievable night,” she said “I have this issue called songwriting … I know you have it too” before thanking everyone in the house.

The fact that the BMI pop Awards named an awards after her is a BIG deal, this is only the second time ever that organization has presented an award in an artist’s name. Michael Jackson in 1990 was the first person have a BMI award named after their own name.

Along with wining the BMI award, Taylor had four of the year's most-performed songs, which earned her the "pop songwriter of the year" prize. These songs are  Bad Blood, Blank Space, Style and Wildest Dreams.

My 1st Concert Experience!

My first ever concert was Bruno Mars’ “Moonshine Jungle Tour”.  It was the 8th of March 2014, and I could not have been more excited to see my favourite artist perform.

I’ll never forget the rush, when he first appeared on stage. The crowd went absolutely wild, and the whole time the arena was filled with people singing and dancing to all of his catchy tunes. From his opening song Moonshine right until the end, he delivered what I would consider to be one of the best live shows on the planet.

After his hour and a half set, he finished with his smash hit “Just the way you are,” the song that launched his career. If that wasn’t enough, he re-emerged for and encore performance of “Locked Out of heaven”, which literally electrified the crowd to the point where there was a wave of people pushing through the crowd. Confetti canons exploded pouring golden cello goodness all over the audience.  He certainly did not disappoint; it truly was a fantastic evening!

Eurovision winner announced!

It has been a amazing season for Eurovision this year and it has finally come to a great conclusion. The winner has been announced which was! UKRAINE! with a amazing 534 points. Unfortunately Australian contestant Dami Im missed out on first place with 511 points but was still able to achieve a proudly earned second place. This goes to show how Australian talent is way up there with the rest of the world or even better! In my honest opinion I do prefer the song sung by Dami I'm "Sound of Silence" over the Ukraine winner song "1944". Dami Im "Sound of Silence" is currently number 2 as well on the iTunes Charts most downloaded just under Calvin Harris's song where as "1944" isn't even on there. Nothertheless Ukraine performance was definitely spectacular and we'll be watching next year for the next year of Eurovision.     44648952 Fabian Loy

Music is love. Music is life.

Music is love. Music is life. Music plays a significant role in every individual's life. I for one like to listen to TRAP to kickback and chill. One of my favourite trap artist is San Holo, who's music has so much impact to every listener with the lyrics being addictive and repetitive. One of my all time favourite songs from San Holo is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcM49nFdm7c

Is the "apple itunes music download termination" true?

Recently, music news pages has released the news about Apple is preparing to terminate ITunes store music downloading due to the rise of streaming music services. According to music industry estimation, iTunes music downloads will be worth $600 million in 2019, down from $3.9 billion in 2012. Mulligan believes Apple's download business could be 10 times smaller than its streaming music business by 2020.
According to the latest update, Apple rep Tom Neumayr  said the report about ending of selling I tunes store music is "not true". He said :"the future of music is streaming, not downloads, but that doesn't mean Apple, the company that essentially invented the market for music download sales, is going to stop selling downloads anytime soon".

J-LO IS BACK!

Jennifer Lopez has just released a new music video that has fans around the world dancing with joy. The video for “Ain’t your Mama,” was released in Australia on Saturday May 7th, and took the voice of women all over the world, focusing on womens fight for independence.

The video starts with a recording of Hilary Clinton’s speech “human rights are womens rights”, and has this recurring theme throughout the video, as it centres around J-Lo dressed in clothing from various era’s including the 50’s, 70’s, 80’s and of course modern day. This is to convey the eras of which women were not granted the liberty afforded to men, and hence we view the current as a time that is greatly revolutionary.

It has gained the attention of many celebrities including that of Hillary Clinton herself stating “Thanks for this. Women are so much more that the roles they have been assigned to.” J-Lo’s global superstar status, makes her the perfect fit to advocate for the freedom of women.

Of course, the video is done in true J-Lo fashion so the video is not complete with out a big dance break down.

Check out the video here:

Meghan Trainer Took Down Her Own Music Video!

Only a few hours after Meghan Trainers single ‘Me Too” was released, she personally had the video taken down.

Meghan, who is  known for rallying against unrealistic body image – took to Snapchat to explain that she took the video down because she had been photoshopped without her own approval.

“Hey guys, I took down the Me Too video because they photoshopped the crap out of me, I’m so sick of it and I’m over it, so I took it down until they fix it,” she said. “My waist is not that teeny. I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but I didn’t approve that video and it went out for the world, so I’m embarrassed.”

f you didn't get a chance to see the video before it was
taken down, here is a screenshot of Meghan. -

She went on saying that the video would be post back up as soon as possible, after her team had fixed it up. “I told them to fix it A$AP Rocky because i’m going to Time Square to play for my fans so I hope they fix it for me, i’m sorry about this”.

Music censorship

Imagine the world without music !! Imagine the world what we are told to play and sing! In some countries like China, Sudan, Afghanistan, violation of musician`s ,singer`s right to freedom of expression are very common. Music is should be free expression of ideas and emotions ,it may express musician`s joys and sorrows. There have been some debate online about whether the music censorship should exist, 84% out of 100 were stated that music should not be censored as its free expression and its people`s `choice to listen to it or not.16% out of 100 said that it should be censored as some songs about sex drugs and partying are harmful to the kids and teenagers.

Who gets paid the most in the music business!?

As you may know, successful music artists within the music industry make a huge sum of money. In 2015, Taylor Swift has topped the billboards with a total revenue of $73.5 million dollars; $7.2 million dollars from album sales, $564,000 dollars from streaming, $4.1 million dollars from music publishing and $61.7 million dollars from touring. And it does not stop there! With the start of the 2016, how much more money will Taylor Swift earn!? So much talent, skill and MONEY. Makes me wonder whether or not I can aspire to become a musician myself.

Top music stories of the week!!!

Victoria Beckham admits to having her mic off during Spice Girls performances.

The pop star and now fashion designer has revealed producers used to switch her microphone off while she was on stage.

Posh spice stated while speaking to the Vogue 100 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery that she was often silenced so fans could only hear Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell singing. Victoria told host Claudia Winkleman: “They used to turn it off and just let the others sing. I got the last laugh - and now my mic is well and truly on, finally.”

She went on to state "Luckily because I used to wear heels, I just used to jig about a bit and I got away with it, but it never came easily ... I was always much more reserved than the other girls.” Couldn’t
have been easy to cover that up for all this time… lip syncing skills on point!

Jennifer Lopez released the music video for "Ain't Your Mama" Friday morning, and I can’t get enough! The video spans several decades as she plays a variety of female characters;
The ‘50s housewife, the sexy secretary, the underpaid factory worker. All of them rebel against the men who exploit them by smashing bottles and ruining dinners, and then J.Lo calls for women of the world to do the same. The upbeat song, which was written by Meghan Trainor, is all about how J Lo is too independent to put up with a boyfriend who can't take care of himself.
Take a look at the music video... what do you think?

The Guiter

The Guiter
Hi Internet. Today I will tell you about the guiter and why it is such a popular instrument. There are many different types of guitars however the two main popular ones are acoustic and electric. The main difference are: one uses acoustic sound and the hollow shape of the guiter to amplify sound where as electric uses a amplifier to produce sound. They come in many different sizes and shapes which effect the way they sound. Most guitars have usually 6 strings however there are variations with some with more or less. There a infinite possibilities as its all about creativity when it comes to music so of course there's going to be a lot of different types of guiter. A basic guiter comes with six strings with the highest note on the bottom and deepest note on the top but these aren't the only way to produce sound. Guitarists tap the wood, slap the strings and even bend the neck to create all different sounds.
Here is mine:

JT is back!

After what feels like an eternity out of the spotlight, Justin Timberlake has made his return to the scene with a brand new single that is taking the world by storm. Let's face it, we were all suffering from some serious JT deprivation! The wait was well worth it, because this song is an absolute hit!

Source:45.media.tumblr.com/1b663e5c8e5421c057e600399fea9d87/tumblr_my5z44UekP1rwzsbso1_500.gif

'Can't stop the feeling' was released on Friday afternoon as the soundtrack to the 'Trolls' movie which will be released later on in 2016. Now I mean it isnt an album but, word is he's working on it and it'll be out soon! Paired with the release of a music video, it features many of his movie co-stars including Anna Kendrick, James Conan and Icona Pop.

With a catchy, soulful feel-good vibe, its no secret why the song has been so successful. A somewhat 'Michael Jackson' inspired hit, it captivates audiences of all ages with its uplifting tune, provoking them to sing and dance along. The song is something different to the Justin Timberlake that we know, a new side to him from his last album that was released 3 years ago, 'The 20/20 Experience'.
